Al-Tahreer Association for Development (TAD)

Overview

Al-Tahreer Association for Development (TAD) is a Local Non-governmental Organisation (LNGO) that was established in 2003 in Nineveh with interventions across all of Iraq, especially in the country’s conflict effected areas, such as: Nineveh, Kirkuk, Salaheddin, Anbar and Diyala.

TAD’s centripetal areas of interventions include: peacebuilding and social cohesion in general; good governance; community, youth and women social and political engagement; restorative justice; prevention of violent extremism and capacitating Iraq’s civil society with a special focus on gender mainstreaming and advocating for the rights of Iraq’s diverse ethno-religious minorities.
