Voluntary Organization for International Cooperation (OVCI)
Overview
OVCI is a Voluntary Organization for International Cooperation, founded in 1982 on the initiative of the "La Nostra Famiglia" Association and the "Friends of Don Luigi Monza Group". Headquartered in Ponte Lambro (Como), OVCI aims to:
- carry out projects that, according to the evangelical spirit, develop human, social, technical and health promotion, favoring the training and autonomy of the citizens of developing countries, with particular focus on interventions in favor of disabled people;
- support an active discourse of social awareness, urging public opinion to become aware and responsible in the face of human problems and in particular of developing peoples.
OVCI is present with various projects in various parts of the world: Sudan (Khartoum), South Sudan (Juba), Brazil (Santana), Ecuador (Esmeraldas), Morocco (Rabat), Asia. In addition to these projects in developing countries, OVCI is present in the national territory with various awareness-raising activities, fundraising and animation. OVCI deals with the training of young volunteers, interested in international experiences.
