Overview
Small islands organization (SMILO) is an NGO under French law whose objective is to support small islands of less than 150 km² that wish to commit to more sustainable territorial management. Its field of action concerns various transversal themes such as water and sanitation , waste , energy , biodiversity , landscapes and island heritage . At the international level SMILO seeks: Capitalization of management practices applicable to other territories, concrete contribution to ecological transition and sustainable management of resources, in application of international conventions, and recognition of island territories
