Nama Women Advancement

Overview

NAMA Women Advancement is a public non-profit organization based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, dedicated to bridging global gender gaps and creating enabling environments for women's advancement. Founded in 2015 by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and chaired by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, NAMA focuses on economic empowerment, education advancement, research, and fostering local and international collaborations. Through its affiliates—Sharjah Business Women Council, Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council, and Badiri Education and Development Academy—NAMA has positively impacted over 35,000 beneficiaries across more than 35 countries, implementing initiatives that support women in economic, professional, and social sectors. By engaging with grassroots and international organizations, NAMA strives to develop ecosystems where women's full potential is realized, contributing to inclusive economic and social growth.
