Entesar EL Saeed

Entesar EL Saeed is an Egyptian lawyer, Human Rights defender, Director and Founder of Cairo Foundation for Development and Law. She is also, a member of the Advisory Board of the Partnership Fund for Democracy and Development previously – Egypt.

She has been nominated in 2015 for the international award "Lawyers for Lawyers" along with 32 lawyers worldwide. She is the founder of Egyptian for Human Rights Youth Union, as well as the Union of Arab defenders of human rights in 2009.

She worked with CCD in the important campaign which lasted for six months entitled "Egyptian women between the exclusionary policies and deprivation of nationality." The campaign aims to grant Egyptian nationality to children of Egyptian women married to Palestinians, because Egyptian law does not allow the grant Egyptian nationality to their children.

She has been working since graduation from the Faculty of Law, in defending the human rights and the human rights of women. She is specialized in defending the rights of prisoners, and providing various services for prisoners and political detainees and also in women and labor rights.

She also worked as a trainer with several Egyptian and international organizations She also worked as a trainer with several Egyptian and international organizations such as the SOS, IWPR, the Swiss Commission in Cairo and the German Hans-Seidel Foundation.

She participates in many international and national conferences, and contributes to various studies, working paper and newspaper articles on the state of women's rights in Egypt. She represents Cairo Foundation for Development and Law in many events and forums.
