Overview

The national coordination of more than 170 French international solidarity NGOs. Coordination SUD is the national coordination of French international solidarity NGOs. Founded in 1994 under the status of an association under the 1901 law, it today brings together more than 182 French NGOs working in international solidarity. Around a hundred are members via six collectives: CLONG-Volontariat, Cnajep, Humanitarian and Development Coordination, Crid, Forim, Groupe Initiatives. Member NGOs carry out emergency humanitarian actions, development aid, environmental protection, defense of human rights among disadvantaged populations, as well as citizenship education and advocacy actions.

Coordination SUD ensures a quadruple mission: - Promotion and defense of the sector - Strengthening the professionalization of organizations through advice and training, - Advocacy on international solidarity with public and private institutions, in France, in Europe and around the world , - Monitoring and analysis services and dissemination of information. It takes part in the activities, on a European scale, of Concord, the confederation of European emergency and development NGOs, and on an international scale, of Forus, which brings together more than 60 national and regional platforms of NGO
