Future Pioneers for Empowering Communities

Overview

Future Pioneers for Empowering Communities’ (FPEC) is a Jordan-based non-profit organization. They are specialized in community empowerment through poverty reduction, community building, capacity development, awareness raising, and support to small and medium sized enterprises in the educational, environmental and social fields. Their main target populations are women, youth and marginalized groups.

FPEC offers trainings in key skills needed in the local labor market, and supported local productive initiatives that bring the much-needed additional income to families. For unemployed youth they have developed targeted interventions for creating jobs in new and unique economic fields, such as renewable energy and eco-tourism. They promote the sufficiency of local resources and sustainability of livelihoods through environmental conservation, promotion of green economic activities, community engagement for improved water management, and provision of energy-saving equipment including solar panels.
