Overview
Gender Concerns International is a Dutch-based NGO supporting and promoting women's rights internationally, particularly in the MENA-region, Asia and Africa to promote women as agents for change and development. GCI's core business is capacity building, lobbying and advocacy work. The organisation also facilitates training and support to civil society and women's networks, especially in fragile states, to improve the political, legal, social and economical position of women. GCI has highlighted the gender dimension of current conflicts and the key role of women as agents of change, campaigning for women’s full integration in peace talks and governance strategies.
