Overview
Girl Effect (GE) is a global organisation that uses creative digital and media products to empower adolescent girls. GE operates in more than 65 countries. In Africa, GE has a strong presence in Rwanda, Tanzania and Ethiopia through cultural brands and South Africa with digital products. In Asia, GE has an on-the-ground presence in India.
Girl Effect (GE) is an international non-profit that builds media that girls want, trust and need. Founded by the Nike Foundation in 2004. They create safe spaces for girls, sharing facts, and answering questions about health, nutrition, education, relationships and so much more. To arm girls with the skills to negotiate and redefine what they are told is possible “for a girl”.
