Jordan Paramedic Society
Overview
The Jordan Paramedic Society is a non-governmental, non-profit professional organization governed by a board of directors comprised of 10 representatives from all segments of the EMS community, as well as the public who are committed to public protection and quality patient care.
JPS showed success in bridging humanitarian agencies and the health system as JPS began receiving funding (UNOCHA) and the (UNHCR) to facilitate refugees’ access to secondary and tertiary health services. JPS also aims for the international standardization of emergency practice in Jordan by providing a valid and efficient plan to assess and retain the knowledge and skills required for competent practice by EMS professionals. By 2014, JPS had established a training center that offered courses in emergency medicine and disaster management. Moreover, our training canter also provides high quality, internationally and nationally certified training courses for community members and health professionals.
