Overview
Takween is an urban development company established in 2009 in Egypt by a dynamic team with more than 20 years of extensive experience, in response to a foreseen growing demand for innovative urban solutions. Takween specializes in the development of integrated, sustainable and innovative packages in urban development services and solutions to support and complement efforts of tackling urban challenges.
In Takween we focus our work under three thematic areas of interventions, offering multi-disciplinary services. These thematic areas are:
- Built Environment Development: including participatory urban design and planning, participatory architectural design, housing rehabilitation, public open space and infrastructure upgrading, public services, and cultural heritage conservation and management;
- Social Development: including education and literacy, health, community development and mobilization, youth empowerment, and civil society organization;
- Economic Development: including economic empowerment through vocational training, creating job opportunities through urban revitalization and upgrading, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, and housing loan financing.
The disciplinary services are offered within each of the thematic areas of intervention including:
