Etijah

Overview

Etijah, officially known as the Youth and Development Consultancy Institute, is a Cairo-based non-profit organization established in 2006. Dedicated to youth and community development, Etijah specializes in creating, enhancing, and disseminating development methodologies tailored to the Egyptian and broader Arab context. The organization's primary mission is to empower young individuals by equipping them with the necessary skills, knowledge, and opportunities to actively participate in societal advancement.

Etijah's initiatives are multifaceted, focusing on areas such as education and training, entrepreneurship and employment, humanitarian aid, health and women's empowerment, and civic engagement. Notable programs include the "Coding with Empathy" initiative, which integrates technical skills with emotional intelligence, and the "TOMOOH" program, aimed at enhancing entrepreneurship and employability among youth. Additionally, the organization runs the "Safe Spaces Project" in collaboration with UNFPA and Egypt's Ministry of Youth and Sports, providing secure environments for youth development.
