Through its partnership with Jordan Education For Employment (JEFE), the USAID Jordan Competitiveness Program has placed at least 595 new graduates in sustainable employment opportunities. With 853 participants in the program, that’s an amazing 70 percent placement rate.
The program, which was launched in December 2015, placed new graduates in private sector job opportunities related to their field of study. As part of the placement program, JEFE led 26 training sessions to better prepare the new graduates for the Jordanian job market.
Training topics included resume writing, interview techniques and networking skills. The program also engaged human resources professionals from a range of private-sector companies, offering opportunities for them to meet with and mentor participants. These opportunities included 25 job fairs attended by a number of leading corporations from diverse sectors.
Value-for-Money: For less than the cost of continuing education class, USAID Jordan's job training program has has a direct impact on underserved women and youth through generating sustainable job opportunities
