Overview

Ketharet Dawood is a non-profit organization that aims to expand the life opportunities of the poor and marginalized in rural and peri-urban localities in Egypt, with a particular focus on Upper Egypt. KD's goal is to eliminate poverty and illiteracy to improve livelihood opportunities. Operates in partnership with local community groups to broaden the learning potentials of children and youth, expand their life skills, and create livelihood opportunities. KD has been legally incorporated in Egypt since 2015 registration no 9771. It has offices in eight governorates: Cairo, Giza, Qalyoubia, Monufia, Beni Suef, Assuit, Qena, Aswan
KD has six flagship programs that are implemented through its different offices to empower individuals in partnership with community-based organizations.
