Initiatives pour la Protection des Droits des Femmes (IPDF)
Overview
Founded in 1998, IPDF is an independent, non-profit women advocacy association. Its strategic mission is the implementation of gender equality in law and in practice, through the defense of the universal rights of women.
The objectives of IPDF are:
- elimination of all forms of discrimination against women in accordance with international conventions and charters.
- encouraging the full participation of women in decision-making in public life
- fight against all forms of violence suffered by women and against the exploitation of their bodies for prostitution
- gender equality in law and in practice
- generalization of education for girls and the fight against illiteracy among women
- guarantee of equal pay and opportunities at work
- respect for reproductive health rights.
