Stichting SPARK
Overview
SPARK is an international non-governmental organization founded in 1994 in the Netherlands, with a mission to create pathways to sustainable jobs for young people in fragile and conflict-affected regions. Originally established to support post-war reconstruction in the Balkans, SPARK has since evolved into a global development actor operating across the Middle East, North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, and parts of Europe.
The organization specializes in fostering economic empowerment through entrepreneurship support, higher education access, vocational training, and job creation programs. By collaborating closely with local partners, government institutions, and the private sector, SPARK builds inclusive ecosystems that enable youth and women to start businesses, gain employment, and become active contributors to their communities' recovery and resilience.
