French Office for Immigration and integration (OFII)
Overview
OFII is a public administrative institution placed under the supervision of the Ministry of the Interior, invested with
5 main tasks:
1- Reception and support of asylum seekers.
2- management of regular immigration procedures in alongside or on behalf of prefectures and posts diplomatic and consular.
3- reception and integration of immigrants authorized to stay permanently in France and signatories in this respect a republican integration contract with the state.
4- Assistance with return and reintegration in their country of origin foreigners who do not have a residence permit.
5- Issuance of the medical opinion within the framework of the procedure residence permit for health reasons.
