In this webinar, Riwaq discussed their community-centered approach to restoration and conservation of cultural heritage sites in Palestine. Their approach is rooted in narrated oral history, wider urban context, connectedness, local ownership and the creation of sustainable communities. As of today, Riwaq has been able to renovate 130+ historic buildings to serve as premises for women associations, youth centers, children’s libraries, music centers among others.

What you learn from this webinar is how to build sustainable projects that generate greater sense of ownership, contribute to sustainable and resilient communities, greater intergenerational and geographical integration, increased cultural, social and economic inclusion, and poverty alleviation.
