What is Open Call for Proposals?
Open Call For Proposals, is a grant without a specific deadline, in other words, it’s a rolling application, They have common characteristics such as;
- Usually, the organizations apply through the grant maker’s website
- They usually provide cash grants for Emergency Fund
- Grantmaker could be Corporate Funders, Arab org, Bilater org, Trust Funds, well-known international org, or an unknown international one working as an intermediate channel between Donor agencies and grassroots organizations
The tricky point about this kind of grant
is that you have to conduct deep research on the organization itself, project factsheets, mailchimps, and partners, it’s not always obvious, and it takes time and a lot of research to take an accurate decision, and sometimes you will need another eye to judge with you. i.e to consult with colleagues or supervisors.
