Association Tounissiet

Overview

Association Tounissiet founded in 2011, works for the rights of Tunisian women. Since its creation, it has developed mechanisms for integrating “gender mainstreaming” into public policies.

Its objectives are mainly:

Improving the legislative framework;
Capacity building for women
Contribution to establishing gender-sensitive public policies

The association has carried out several projects to promote local governance and the integration of the gender approach. These projects essentially concern the consideration of the gender approach in safe and secure cities, and in public and local services. These projects also integrate the strengthening of the roles of women in the municipalities, as a lever for local governance.
