About
25 years of experience in the field of social development with various international donors, including but not limited to, European Union, World Bank and the Center for development and Population Activities (CEDPA); as an employees and as a freelancer working mainly with women empowerment, Child and youth development.
*Previous professional experience encompassed working as a Consultant Managed and Coordinate the development of the implementation manual for the Program Planning and Monitoring Unit Enhancement Program EEP.
*Further professional experience include experience working in social development, in education as a teacher in the United States, Emirates and Egypt.
*I participated in the development of series of training sessions for Teachers, principles ,administrators and PTA’s program. The program was funded by USAID and the training was delivered to government school staff.
*Besides teaching I have worked as Social Worker. In this capacity, I managed the development of educational plans for children with special needs. I spent two years working as Program Director in an institution for special education in Egypt teaching and preparing teachers to become special education teachers; along with managing the program and developing curriculum for special education Conducted in- service training.
*As a free lancer I have carried out research studies, such as baseline, midterm and end line research projects, as well as conducting community and stakeholder needs assessment. I have also received various grants from the Dutch Embassy, Save the Children US and UK in order to develop life skills programs and deliver training of trainers.
*I have ended up my career working for CEDPA as an Acting Country Director and the Education and Training Director.
*I have been with CEDPA since March 1997, where I started as Program Officer responsible for the Scholarship Program. Towards the end of 1997, I was assigned the responsibility of the Life Skills “New Horizons” Network and the implementation of the program and was accordingly promoted to a Senior Program Officer. Additional professional achievements included the promotion to the position “Unit Manager”, which was followed by “Associate Country Director”. Finally, I was promoted to become CEDPA’s “Deputy Country Director” and ended with becoming an “Acting Country Director”.
*As a senior program officer I had the chance to work intimately with NGO's all over the country of Egypt. In this capacity, I managed the development of the life skills program for youth and delivered TOT and managed the implementation of the program in 21 governorates in Egypt. My position as Deputy and Acting Country Director allowed me to work closely with government experts and entities and develop a huge network all over the country.
Additional experience includes participation in developing the strategic plan for the HIV/AIDS NGO’s network in Egypt year 2008-2010.
