Habitat for Humanity Egypt (HFHE)

Overview

Habitat for Humanity Egypt is a part of Habitat for Humanity International. Habitat Egypt started work in 1989, As a result of the efforts made over 30 years, Habitat Egypt Has Helped 38,000 families in 40 communities to date to Have a decent, simple, healthy and affordable houses, get access to water, and sanitation. The target beneficiaries are people with low income, vulnerable and marginalized groups.

Habitat for Humanity Egypt (HFHE) works in forty communities in five governorates in Egypt, most recently its geographical focus has been directed towards Upper Egypt in Minya and Beni-Sueif, where there has been a dire need for housing interventions. HFHE has improved the housing conditions of more than 40,000 homes in these locations through strategic local NGOs partners who work closely with Habitat to provide housing services to vulnerable low-income communities to improve the functionality, quality and safety of their homes.
