PetroChina Halfaya FZCO Iraq Branch is the entity established by PetroChina to oversee and manage its operations in Iraq’s Halfaya oilfield, one of the largest oilfields in Maysan Province. The organization functions as the operator of the Halfaya project on behalf of a consortium of international partners, holding the largest share at 37.5%. As an oil and gas company, its primary mandate is to ensure efficient exploration, development, and production of hydrocarbons in line with Iraq’s energy goals and contractual obligations under the Development and Production Service Contract (DPSC). Beyond technical operations, the organization manages procurement processes, workforce recruitment, compliance, and corporate social responsibility activities. With offices and operational bases in Iraq and support functions in Dubai, PetroChina Halfaya FZCO Iraq Branch plays a central role in advancing PetroChina’s global presence while contributing to Iraq’s economic development through energy production, local employment, and partnerships with Iraqi state institutions.
