A powerful new short film advocating for the protection of children in Gaza is inspiring international humanitarian and development organizations to move beyond service delivery. It calls on them to take a principled stand—confronting injustice, denouncing atrocities, and actively working toward peace. More than a call for aid, the film is a call for accountability, compassion, and collective action to restore hope and dignity to Gaza’s youngest generation. The film closes with a stark appeal: "Don’t Bomb Children. Don’t Starve Children. Don’t Kill Children." Each phrase is constructed from the names of children reported to have been killed and starved in Gaza since October 2023.

A new short film, released by the charities Save the Children and Choose Love, sees an extraordinary cast of actors, musicians and campaigners recite Michael Rosen’s poem "Don’t Mention the Children" - a work written in 2014 after Israel banned a radio advert naming children killed in Gaza. Since October 2023, officials in Gaza report more than 20,000 children killed in the conflict. Israel says it is targeting Hamas but has faced mounting international criticism over the scale of civilian casualties.

The project is paired with renewed calls by Save the Children and Choose Love for the UK government to “end its complicity in the horrors unfolding in Gaza and the West Bank”. The campaign is urging the public to sign a petition demanding an immediate suspension of UK arms transfers to Israel, accountability for violations of international law and action to end Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territory.

The UK government has so far resisted calls to halt arms sales, saying it continues to keep its licensing decisions under review.

Save the Children has maintained a longstanding presence in Gaza, operating primary healthcare centers and delivering essential services such as malnutrition screening and treatment. However, since March 2, 2025, the organization has reported being unable to deliver its own aid into the territory—underscoring the growing barriers to humanitarian access.

Choose Love, a UK-based independent charity, continues to mobilize support through a network of over 250 frontline partners. These courageous organizations work in some of the world’s most volatile regions—from Gaza to Sudan—and sustain vital aid efforts in protracted crises like those in Lebanon and Ukraine. Their impact goes far beyond food, medicine, and shelter. In every delivery, they offer solidarity, dignity, and hope—a powerful reminder to displaced communities that they are not forgotten.
