The Great Oven Lebanon
Overview
The Great Oven Lebanon is a community initiative that uses food and creativity to strengthen communities across the country. We bring women, families and neighbours together around shared meals and create spaces for connection, support and collective action.
Through community kitchens and women’s gatherings in Beirut and the Bekaa, we work with Lebanese, Syrian, Palestinian, Bedouin and migrant communities to address daily needs while opening longer term opportunities. Around the table, people cook, talk, share stories and begin to imagine different futures together.
A plate of food is never just a plate of food: it is an entry point to feeling seen, building trust and creating stronger, more supportive communities in Lebanon.
