The European Union has announced a €20 million donation aimed at empowering youth across Egypt and other countries in the region as a move to strengthen its relations with the Southern Neighbourhood. The project, which is called Jeel Connect, is expected to equip youths with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities needed to excell in a rapidly changing global economy. Besides local government cooperation, the strategic partnership will solve issues like unemployment and social exclusion.

The money will be allocated to a variety of projects and programs concentrating on professional training, venture creation, and technology. It is estimated that the lives of thousands of young people will be positively influenced directly by these actions giving them the power to create and sustain their futures. Moreover, the project enhances intercultural communication, thus, reinforcing the EU's larger goal of promoting inclusive development in the area.

Jeel Connect will connect youths with networks, and mentors, thus supplying a clear route to personal and professional development; Through the partnership with local institutions and international collaborators, Jeel Connect would eventually be a game changer, providing the youth with the opportunity to participate in the kind of impactful work that would make a positive difference in their communities.
