Overview
Al Teeba Relief and Development Organization (Tord) is a local non-governmental organization dedicated to women's issues, gender equality, and human rights in general. It also advocates for the rights of marginalized groups, people with disabilities, and survivors of violence, including sexual and gender-based violence. The organization defends the rights of Iraqi women, including widows, divorcees, and victims of violence, and contributes to capacity building and empowerment, enabling them to serve Iraqi society legally, politically, socially, and economically. TORD also works to promote freedom of thought and expression, social justice, and the independence of civil society organizations.
