Maisons familiales rurales (MFR)

Overview

Maisons Familiales Rurales (MFR) is a French network of non-profit educational institutions that provide vocational training based on a dual (work-study) model, combining classroom learning with practical experience in real workplaces. Founded in rural France in 1937, the movement was created to allow young people to study while staying connected to their local communities, and it has since grown into a large national and international network with hundreds of training centers and partnerships worldwide.
