WECF International

Overview

Women Engage for a Common Future (WECF) is an international network and NGO dedicated to gender equality, environmental sustainability, and climate justice. Founded in Europe, WECF works in over 50 countries worldwide, including several in the MENA region such as Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, and Egypt. In MENA, WECF primarily operates through partnerships with local NGOs and women’s organizations, supporting projects on sustainable development, clean energy, water, and climate resilience. While it does not have a regional headquarters in the Middle East or North Africa, its programs in the region focus on empowering women as environmental leaders and promoting ecofeminist initiatives, often providing technical assistance, training, and small grants to strengthen local capacity and advocacy.
