Canada Announces $100 Million in New Funding for Palestinians
Canada has announced an additional $100 million in funding to support humanitarian and development efforts in Gaza and the West Bank. The funding will be provided through UN agencies, the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, and non-governmental organizations.
The new funding will help deliver emergency healthcare, food, nutrition, water, sanitation, shelter, and protection services to Palestinians affected by the ongoing crisis. With this contribution, Canada's total assistance to Palestine has now surpassed $500 million.
Canada also called for the safe and unrestricted delivery of humanitarian aid, the protection of civilians and aid workers, and respect for international humanitarian law. The government said the funding is part of broader efforts to support peace, stability, and a future two-state solution.
