RET International
RET International
Overview
RET International is an independent, impartial, non-partisan organisation, with no religious or political affiliation, was founded in 2000, by Mrs Sadako Ogata, then High Commissioner of UNHCR, to address the dire need for education in emergencies in fragile contexts for vulnerable young people affected by displacement.
Their programs provide young people with the protective environments and necessary skills to face the threats emanating from displacement, such as violence, recruitment into illegal armed groups, child labour, sexual exploitation . Through its interventions, RET strengthens communities and transforms vulnerable young people into responsible, employable and self-reliant citizens.
