Media Connect is a dynamic, non-political initiative supporting young media practitioners and journalism students across nine countries in North Africa and the Middle East, including Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, and Tunisia. Driven by a shared voluntary commitment, the program aims to build an inclusive and thriving media landscape in the region.

The network’s core objectives focus on inspiring media professionals through impactful EU partnerships, accelerating professional growth with tailored training on ethical storytelling, increasing access for aspiring journalists in rural or underserved communities, and creating a collaborative network dedicated to solutions-driven reporting.

In order to implement these objectives, Media Connect works in close collaboration with the EU MedBridge Initiative and local EU delegations.

The most importnt part of the initiative is to ensure the inclusion of young media talent that come from unique backgrounds and disadvantaged communities by granting unhindered access to relevant instruments, thus allowing reporters in remote areas to continue sharing their valuable stories.
