Overview
The Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng) is the national academy for engineering and technology in the United Kingdom. Established in June 1976, it is an independent, chartered, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting excellence in engineering for societal benefit. The Academy operates under the patronage of His Majesty King Charles III and is headquartered at Prince Philip House in London. RAEng provides independent, evidence-based advice to the UK government and international bodies on engineering policy, education, and innovation. It supports engineering education from primary schools to universities and runs programs to develop talent in the field. The Academy also fosters entrepreneurship and innovation through grants and prizes, while engaging the public to highlight the importance of engineering in everyday life. With around 1,600 Fellows from various engineering disciplines, the RAEng plays a vital role in addressing the engineering skills crisis and enhancing the profession's leadership
