Fund for Innovation in Development (FID)

Overview

The Fund for Innovation in Development (FID) is a French grant-making fund that supports innovative, evidence-based solutions to reduce poverty and inequality in low- and middle-income countries. It funds organizations such as NGOs, universities, research institutions, public bodies, and companies to test, evaluate, and scale successful development innovations. FID is active across sectors including education, health, climate, agriculture, governance, gender, and environment, with a strong focus on Africa and developing countries, including MENA.
