Amira Fekry

Amira Fekry is a senior independent consultant with 8+ years of experience playing a leading role across the full project cycle, from design, to research and studies, MEL, capacity building and training, and implementation, for donors, governments, and private sector clients across agriculture, manufacturing, and service sectors in 11 countries spanning MENA and West Africa. Areas of expertise include value chain development, enterprise upgrading, MSME export readiness, policy engagement, digital transformation, and multistakeholder facilitation across donor-government-private sector-CSR ecosystems.

She holds an M.A. in Public Policy (Data Analytics & Program Evaluation) from the American University in Cairo, with an exchange semester at the Geneva Graduate Institute, and a B.A. in Political Science from Cairo University, an academic foundation matched by a trilingual edge in Arabic, English, and French that lets her lead research, negotiations, and stakeholder engagement seamlessly across Anglophone, Francophone, and Arabic-speaking markets.

Her full-time tenure at Enroot Development built a diverse research and BD portfolio: 40+ technical assignments spanning value chain analyses, policy studies, needs assessments, and stakeholder mappings across agrifood, manufacturing, entrepreneurship, circular economy, tourism, and labor markets, for clients including UNIDO, ILO, GIZ, World Bank, FAO, and the Embassy of the Netherlands; and, as Business Development Manager, $4.5M+ secured at a 50% win rate with partners such as UNDP, UfM, EBRD, and Save the Children International.

As an independent consultant, she has led large-scale, high-visibility assignments, a regional ILO-commissioned VCD strategy across Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan, and a VCD framework approved by UNIDO and integrated into its global MSME Competitiveness strategy. Her portfolio reflects regional diversity and repeated engagements with strategic partners like UNIDO and ILO, underpinned by a strong track record in enterprise upgrading, MSME export readiness, digital transformation, MEL for systems change, and multistakeholder engagement across donor, government, CSR, and private sector actors.

She is proficient in STATA, Python, and Excel, with full MS Office proficiency and a demonstrated ability to translate complex, cross-sectoral data into actionable, evidence-based recommendations for policy and program design.
