Oxfam in Jordan and the Italian organization Un Ponte Per (UPP) have officially launched a new initiative named the "Rabee" (Spring) project. The program is designed to strengthen protection services and support for vulnerable communities, including both local Jordanians and refugees living across areas like Amman, Zarqa, Mafraq, and Ramtha.
Funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) and carried out alongside local partner associations, the project addresses urgent community needs through a comprehensive, multisectoral approach. It combines immediate aid with long-term capacity building to help build community resilience.
The initiative provides vital services such as safe spaces for women and children, individual and group mental health support, legal counseling, and advocacy. Additionally, it offers targeted cash assistance to economically vulnerable families to help cover critical educational and protection-related needs.
By bringing together government officials, local civil society organizations, and UN agencies, the project ensures that long-term cooperation and sustainable solutions remain at the forefront of humanitarian relief efforts in Jordan.
