Lebanese Alternative Learning
Lebanese Alternative Learning
Overview
Lebanese Alternative Learning is an NGO which aims to develop alternative educational resources through technology and creative interventions. A network of educators, education technology experts, artists and communication specialists are working together to enhance teaching methods and practices in Lebanon. Their priority is to empower vulnerable communities and ensure all children receive an engaging and effective learning experience and avoid school dropouts.
LAL aspires to develop alternative ways of learning and to improve the quality and accessibility of education in Lebanon, through free e-learning resources and creative interventions by working with a network of professionals, educational technology experts, artists, school teachers, digitizers and communication specialists to uphold high educational standards and alternative approaches to quality learning in Lebanon. In 2013, LAL launched Tabshoura, an e-learning project based on the Lebanese curriculum, available in three languages and covering all school topics. The platform is free, easily accessible, interactive and based on a “ Learn by Doing” approach.
