Al Jaleel Center
Overview
Al Jalil Association, also known as the Children of Al Jalil Center (CJC), is a grassroots non-profit organization based in the Bekaa Valley of Lebanon. Founded with a mission to support vulnerable children and youth—particularly those at risk of marginalization, violence, or exclusion from education—the association operates with a deep commitment to human rights, equality, and social inclusion. Al Jalil is distinguished by its firm stance on neutrality; it maintains independence from any political or religious affiliation and emphasizes transparency, accountability, and respect for all members of the communities it serves.
The organization runs a variety of programs tailored to the specific needs of children and young people in under-resourced areas. These include educational support such as remedial classes, English language training, and computer literacy programs. Additionally, Al Jalil offers psychosocial and recreational activities—ranging from arts and games to theater, field trips, and creative storytelling—designed to help children express themselves and recover from trauma.
