Samusocial International
Overview
Samusocial International is an NGO that fights against social exclusion in cities by supporting the creation and development of samusocial systems around the world. The SSI develops and strengthens the capacities of its partners according to their needs. Its network is now made up of 17 systems in Africa, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East, including 7 specializing in the problem of street children and young people. SSI's action is also aimed at homeless adults, isolated women and young girls and particularly vulnerable peri-urban communities.
The samusocial method consists of "Going towards" people in situations of great exclusion and is based on the principles of permanence, mobility, professionalism and multidisciplinarity of support. they act urgently by providing medical-psycho-social care and they support the people they meet according to their needs. it conducts in-depth research and capitalize on best practices in order to build appropriate responses to social exclusion. They communicate their knowledge and know-how to a wide audience through conferences, publications, training and university courses.
