Salma Sabri

Salma Sabri is an Economist and M.A holder in Development Studies with focus on ex-post evaluations, who earned many certifications in the area of “Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning” from different international organizations. She is one of the founding board members of the Egyptian Evaluation Association. For the past 25 years, she worked as Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Advisor/Consultant supporting international development organizations. Mrs. Sabri provides strategic and technical advise on learning -oriented Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Systems, participatory evaluations, strategic and operational planning, M&E guidelines, coaching and trainings, use of evaluations and introduction of learning and feedback culture in organizations.

Committed to enabling organizational learning, feedback culture and impactful solutions, she designed and implemented 40+ learning-oriented monitoring and evaluation systems aligning reporting mechansims of different donors, developed strategic plans, supported national partners in their monitoring and evaluation efforts and facilitated and conducted 30+participatory reviews and evaluations  to drive meaningful outcomes in global development.

She has solid experience in conducting  evaluations and assessments in the thematic areas Organizational Development (Institutional and Organizational Development, Capacity Development); Good Governance (Participatory Development, Public Sector Reform, Social Accountability, Policy Advise, Open Governance); Economic Empowerment (Entrepreneurship, Employment & Employability, Vocational training, Private Sector Development); Sustainable Development, Green Economy & Climate Change (Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy, Solid Waste Management, Green Technology), with a varied clientele of international development agencies and non-governmental agencies, among which are Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ), UN ESCWA, UNIDO, ILO, EU, AfDB, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, World Bank, Universalia and Egyptian NGOs.

As she is certified as an international facilitator, she has designed and undertook 50+ basic and advanced training workshops, mentoring and coaching session on Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning for different donors, civil society organizations and Ministries.

Finally, she has working knowledge in German, English, Arabic and very basic knowledge of French. She is based in Egypt.
