Overview
Established in 2005 as a regional non-governmental and non-profit organization, the Arab Women’s Legal Network extends across the whole Arab World, with the headquarters located in Amman, Jordan.
AWLN promotes and supports Arab women working in the legal professions, through facilitating meetings of Arab women legal practitioners. It provides a platform for legal practitioners to exchange expertise and experiences, as well as to discuss common challenges and issues. The Network also provides specialized training sessions and professional development programs, which aim to raise both public and professional legal awareness, and enhance the professional capacities of Arab legal women to enable them to participate efficiently and effectively, building and strengthening their societies, supports the Justice sector generally.
