Lara Mikhail holds Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Political Science from both The British University in Egypt (BUE) and Loughborough University in the United Kingdom. She also holds a Masters (MA) degree in Middle East Studies from The American University in Cairo (AUC). Lara has worked as a teaching assistant/demonstrator at the Political Science department for five consecutive years (2013-2018). In September 2018 until now, she is working with Center for Development Services (CDS) as a program' specialist in the field of migration. In April 2019, she worked with UNICEF Egypt as a consultant (research consultant) on a project that aimed at the analysis of Children on the Move harms and access to services in Egypt and along the North Eastern Migratory Route; which is part of the program of ‘Initiating Cross-Border Partnership for Children on the Move along the North Eastern Migratory Route’. Lara was also selected this year (2019) by the American Embassy in Cairo as a nominee for the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) in the United States of America in the "Responding to Refugee Issues" program.
