The GSMA Innovation Fund
Overview
The GSMA Mobile for Development Foundation, Inc.* was created in 2007 to demonstrate the positive social impact of mobile technology. It brings together mobile operators, donors and the international development community.
The GSMA Foundation was created for the purpose of developing and engaging in projects that utilize mobile communications to relieve the poor, distressed and underprivileged. GSMA provides resources and support to GSMA Mobile for Development programmes, which identify opportunities and deliver innovations with socio-economic impact in financial services, health, agriculture, digital identity, energy, water, sanitation, disaster resilience and gender equality
