Overview
Al Maktoum Foundation began its career and charitable journey in the fields of humanitarian work in 1997 in Dublin, Ireland, through the Islamic Cultural Center there, which was a nucleus of good to march goodness initiated by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum and start that extended to more than 69 countries in all continents of the world. In 1997, the Commission started its educational program-wide in Africa to build ten high schools with full equipment in a number of African countries, a program that is still continuing as the number of these schools nearly forty schools and colleges are distributed in more than twenty African countries, has made this program a success unrivaled helped thousands of African students to enter colleges as the most important project that became the most important educational project in Africa outside the scope of public education.
