Ankara Development Agency
Overview
Ankara Development Agency was established on 25 July 2009 with the decision of the Council of Ministers and is a public legal entity. Ankara Development Agency is a public institution established to reduce intra-regional development disparities, increase the competitiveness of the region and accelerate its development and is the youngest development agency among the 26 Development Agencies in their country.
The Development Agencies, which act as supporters, coordinators and catalysts of active regional actors with high technical capacity and not implementing practitioners, aim to achieve regional development by developing cooperation with non-governmental organizations, public institutions and organizations within the framework of a specific plan in their areas of responsibility.It is important for the province of Ankara to develop participation and ownership awareness, to guide the development process, to draw a picture of a more livable region and to guide local institutions' policy priorities.
