Overview
A regional institute supporting Arab cities by developing policies, building capacities, and creating networks between cities and other development entities. Founded in 1980 by the Arab Towns Organization (ATO), and its headquarters are located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It is a regional non-governmental, and non-profit organization. It is specialized in research and training in the fields of urban development and municipal affairs. AUDI is the first large-scale organization taking this role in the Arab world. In its 43-year of experience, AUDI has brought together municipalities, urban researchers, donors and international organizations to provide training and develop research on urban issues of significance to those municipalities.
