Overview
Danone is a French food products multinational corporation that is currently ranked as the world's top producer of fresh dairy products. Danone's CSR-related budget stems from the Ecosystem Fund. The Fund, enters into contracts with NGOs whom are assigned to undertake projects in communities of Danone operations to successfully promote an integrated approach while simultaneously serving the dual socio-economic objectives.
DANONE Ecosystem Fund aims at improving living conditions of farmers and their families with a special focus on women. Establishing Agricultural cooperatives for small milk producers (eg. milk collection centers). Establishing model or training farms that help producers learn farming techniques and best practices. Training programs in farm management, cattle feed programs, milk quality and health management trainings, hygiene, food safety, nutrition habits and children diets
DANONE Livelihoods Fund invests in in projects of great environmental and social impact, particularly restoration of natural ecosystems
