Dubai Women Establishment
Overview
Established in 2006 under the directive of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Dubai Women Establishment (DWE) is dedicated to enhancing the role of Emirati women in the nation's development. With Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as its president, DWE focuses on increasing women's participation in various sectors by proposing and developing policies that empower them in the workplace and foster innovation. The organization also conducts research to improve the quality of life for women in Dubai and advocates for policies that support work-life balance, such as the implementation of workplace childcare facilities. Through initiatives like the Women Leadership Exchange Program and the "Women on Boards" initiative, DWE strives to promote sustainable leadership practices and ensure women's representation in leadership positions across both government and private sectors.
