Overview
Dr. Fatima Educational Charity (FAEC) is a nonprofit initiative established in honor of the late Dr. Fatima Amer, a pioneering Egyptian academic who overcame significant social and economic barriers to become a distinguished researcher and university professor. Inspired by her journey, the organization aims to support Egyptian girls and women who face similar challenges in accessing higher education. FAEC provides scholarships, bursaries, awards, and other financial assistance to female students whose economic circumstances might otherwise prevent them from completing their university studies. Rooted in Dr. Amer’s vision, the charity also addresses the persistent societal issue in which girls’ education is often deprioritized within families, working to empower young women to pursue their ambitions and achieve their full potential.
