Good Word Association
Overview
The Good Word Society is a voluntary organization based in the Kingdom of Bahrain, established on October 5, 2002. Its mission is to promote social responsibility and support various community initiatives through projects, awards, awareness campaigns, training programs, and capacity-building efforts. The society emphasizes values such as volunteerism, transparency, generosity, initiative, partnership, and excellence. Their objectives include supporting needy groups within and outside Bahrain, raising social and cultural awareness, encouraging volunteer work in the Arab world, caring for the elderly, enhancing youth skills, and building partnerships across various sectors.
The society has been recognized for its excellence in charitable work, receiving awards such as the Khalid Al-Essa Al-Saleh Award for Excellence in Charitable Work in 2023 and the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Award for Best Charitable Performance in the Arab World.
